Timeless Orvis Airstream

VEHICLE: 1954 Airstream Flying Cloud

USE: Recreational

CLIENT: The Orvis Company

PROJECT YEAR: 2011

LOCATION: Colorado

The Story:
Originally used as a hunting and fishing lodge near Goose Lake, Oregon, for over 50 years, this one-of-a-kind classic has been meticulously restored beyond its former glory. The interior, in fact, is above and beyond anything you have ever seen in a custom Airstream renovation.

Procured specifically for The Orvis Company, the 22ft 1954 Airstream was showcased in their annual Holiday catalog and awarded to the highest bidder back in 2011.

The winner immediately towed the trailer to Texas and stored it in a climate-controlled storage facility…until now. That’s right…it’s never been taken on the road since its customization!

Features / Amenities:
The gleaming hand-polished exterior is the icing on the cake. Inside, the warm and cozy Orvis-inspired cabin is appointed with natural hickory wood, antique chestnut flooring, copper end caps, and genuine leather.

Brand-New running gear has been installed below including a new axle, brakes, suspension, wheels, tires, and coupler. All the systems have been upgraded to meet or exceed current industry standards. New fresh- grey- and black tanks have been installed. Provisions have been made for adding air conditioning. The awning seen in the pictures is not included.
